Country Manager / Africa Regio

  • Maximize long term profitable volume growth of COMPANY's within the assigned country's
  • Develop a business plan and strategy of COMPANY's services in the assigned country's
  • Provide leadership and cohesion of teams within the country, including hiring and management of staff
  • Achieve the company performance targets against the objectives and the growth strategy
  • Provide project progress updates to executive management and Corporate
  • Lead the development of operations, coordinate all third parties and represent the best interests of the company in line with legal requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, local authorities and communities
  • Ensure market intelligence and customer knowledge to meet company targets and forecasts
  • Establish best in class practices for HSEQ and operational excellence
  • Ensure equipment resources necessary to meet customer requirements Listen to customers, understand business needs and structure a solution built on products and/or services to address those needs
  • Drive initiatives to increase customer awareness and satisfaction

Manage Operation staff and/or related personnel, and Provides technical guidance and work direction to field staff.

  • Ensure the fulfillment of maintenance contract specifications, and maintain COMPANY's standards in order to ensure delivery of agreed contractual services to customers
  • Carry out investigations of COMPANY product failures, validate findings, and approve corrective actions based on identified findings
  • Lead negotiations with customers to address product failure investigation findings, and recommend preventative measures to avoid future product failures

Oversee assigned country's operations' budgeting cycle and lead the budgeting process

  • Direct assigned country's operations effectively within budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered
  • Formulate strategies that result in positive financial impact for COMPANY and mitigates financial and operational risks
  • Prepare, submit and justify budget enhancement requests to VP Africa

Follows all relevant Operations' policies, Manufacturing Processing Instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

  • Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account leading practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
  • Promotes the implementation and adherence to policies, processes and operating procedures to others within COMPANY

Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

  • Participates in incident and accident investigations as required in line with agreed safety, health and environment policies, procedures and controls
  • Reports on changes within COMPANY that impact relevant safety, health and environmental management policies, procedures and controls

Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talent for Country .

  • Manage, guide and assist direct reports to perform their functional operations in accordance with set policies and procedures
  • Set performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate / appraise the team and provide regular feedback on performance
  • Promote a high-performance working environment and promote COMPANY's values


Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in ESP field and operations , with at least 3 -5 years of experience in managerial position
  • Oil and Gas upstream processes' experience is preferred
  • Previous technical Oil and Gas industry knowledge is preferred
  • Previous Customer Relationship Management experience is preferred
  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required
  • ESP Downhole equipment awareness, including specs, material and functionality
  • Computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Financial Systems , Marketing Analysis is required
